플로워 볼 게임이 내가 사는 곳 근처에서 국가대항전으로 열렸다.
아래 게임은 한국이나 뉴질랜드나 그닥 알려진 게임이 아니라서 처음 들어봤다.
I am going to talk about floor ball game. It is like mixture of ice and field hockey and is playing on the floor.
It isn’t popular game in Korea and I think New Zealand too. So I had never heard the game before.
근처의 ASB 스포츠 센터 – 종종 이곳에 농구하러 가는 곳인데 이날은 플로어볼 게임을 만들어 놓았다.
On lunar new year’s day, my wife and I went to the ASB sports center with a small banner.
The sports center is located in kilbirnie and the night before the first game, my wife and I made the banner that read “Go Go Korea” at home.
첫날 싱가폴게임 하기 전날밤에 마눌과 함께 박스 에 이면지 붙여서 “Go Go Korea” 라고 써서 만들었다.

When we went there, my two friend’s family already came.
There were seven of us in all for the game and seven people are all to cheer Korean team.
First day, the Korean team competed against Singapore team and the second day was against Japanese team.
해당 게임을 보기 위해서는 돈을 약간 지불해야 한다. 경기장에 가보니 한국 사람들은 내가 아는 가족들 2집과 우리집 해서 3집이 있었다. 총 7 명 ^^
설날이어서 적적하게 보낼줄 알았는데 해당 게임 끝내고 20명 가량의 선수와 스텝들이 응원한 우리에게 절을 하였다.
매우 감동의 도가니탕이라고나 할까
We were cheering loudly for Korean team.
The first game ended in a tie with a score of four to four, and the players saluted to us by the traditional way.
게임이 끝난뒤 좀더 적극적으로 응원하기 위해 목사님집에가서 플랜카드를 좀더 크게 만들었다. ^^
플랜카드 만들면서 윷놀이도 하고 음식도 해먹고 나름 설날(명절) 분위기 내며 시간을 보냈다.

다음날 우리는 좀더 열심히 응원도 하고 우리가 첫날보다 좀더 많은 사람들이 와서 응원하였다.
이날 한국은 일본을 상대로 10:1 으 큰 점수차로 이겨버렸다. 선수들의 말에 의하면 해당 플로워볼 게임 사상 처음으로 일본을 이겼고
그것도 큰 점수차로 이겼다고 한다.
아시아 예선을 마치고 이긴팀 3팀은 스웨덴에모여 준준결승 전 게임을 한다고 한다.
( 참조 : 선수들은 모두 자신의 사비를 털어 게임을 다닌다고 한다. 아직 나라에서 많은 돈을 지원받지 못하는 비인기 게임이라서 …)
The next day, we were gathered at the sports center again but there were more people than first day.
We cheered loudly when they scored the goal and were quiet when they lost the goal.
Finally, the Korean team won the second game, 10 to 1 and after that game, we shook hands with the players one by one and took some pictures with them.
During the lunar new year’s day, I was happy and hope to see this game again.
